Sunglass Expo 2008

It's Expo time again! and for the third year in a row it rained on our expo again! But did that stop us? No way! This was our most successful expo yet and it would not have been possible without the support of so many dedicated individuals, what a team effort! Special thanks to David, Arash, Luc, and Kim from the Luxottica Group for their continued support, the Student Marketing Assocation and ofcourse our very special employees Sarah and Chantel for their excellent work in planning the expo!


The Opticians Association of Canada recognize Raj Mann with an Honours Award

Pat Dobbyn of Vision Canada and OAC President Lorne Kashin present Raj with an Honours Award at the Vision Canada Expo.  A quote from the Award…”Raj’s enthusiasm for dispensing and for her collegues is evident in her work with the College of Opticians of British Columbia Examination Committee and in her proactive work to forge a strong community of opticians who are proud of their accomplishments and strive for higher standards.  Her peers in British Columbia and across Canada salute her as a leader in her profession.”


Vision Screening outreach program for SFU students

Vision screening is a quick, efficient and easy procedure designed to determine if your vision meets an adequate standard. It is used to quickly screen for indications of sight problems.  Raj is pictured at the promotional booth in the AQ providing this service for SFU students.

In appreciation of the small but growing residential community at SFU we invited the residents to check out our dispensary and enjoy drinks and tasty appetizers.  It was another successful event at Eyes in Motion.  Special thanks go to the SFU community Trust for their support

Sunglass Expo 2007

Back by popular demand, the second annual Sunglass Expo is on!  Despite the rain the turnout was great and it was so much fun.  Our multi-talented Raj can be seen here spinning the wheels of steel to keep the Expo going strong.  Thanks to everybody who came out to support our event and special thanks to the Student Marketing Association for their generous help during the day of the event.


Promotional Booth at Academic Quadrangle at SFU

To develop and maintain awareness within the University you can find our promotional booth setup in the AQ.  Business cards, Information on upcoming events and current promotions can be picked from the booth which is setup on a weekly basis.


Eyes in Motion is pleased to announce we are now fully equipped with an on-site state of the art full service lab. By maintaining stock of hundreds of lenses we are able to provide most of our clients with glasses within about an hour.


The Essilor 3D Delta edger, together with the Phi Tracer, brings the SFU community the most advanced edging technology. Efficient and precise, the Essilor Delta edger is also perfectly compatible with Opsys, our link to e-ordering, remote edging and lens shape library. With the PHI TRACER we get a high precision frame tracing for first fit mounting and we also have an integrated digital centering system and blocker which provides precision blocking.

Our very first annual Sunglass Expo was a hit! The 2006 Sunglass expo at SFU in the outdoor ‘Townsquare’ located next to the Cornerstone building.  it’s was a great day for the SFU community and our residential neighbors to enjoy a fun sunwear shopping experience.  This is a rare opportunity not only to see the complete collections but you also get to speak with the industry experts who represent their individual brands all in one place!


Congratulations to the grand prize winner of the 2005 Sun Health Promotion coordinated by the SFU Health Counselling and Career Centre


As the grand prize winner Siavash Saffari selected the CK3030 Sunglasses featuring polarized lenses and a full wrap, smart choice Siavash! Eyes in Motion would like to thank health educator Carolyn Stewart from the HCCC for giving us the opportunity to participate in this years Sun Health Promotion (campaign to raise awareness about protection from the sun) which was a great success despite all those overcast days in June & July!


The 10th Anniversary Eyeball at the Four Seasons Hotel is held to raise money for the Third World Eye Care Society.


Raj and Gurjant pose with Brenda Tosoff from the Third World Eye Care Society which consists of eye care professionals and individuals who collect used eyeglasses from the public and travel to Third World countries providing free eye care and eyeglasses to the poor.

We had a really fun day, lots of people came to visit us. Thanks to Brenda from Coopervision and Susan and Scott from Essilor for their presence and door prize donations & really tasty food. Thanks to Diane from Ciba Vision, Jodie from Bausch & Lomb, & Nadine from Johnson & Johnson for door prizes, Thanks to Nancy Godmaire from Transitions for door prizes and those bright orange t-shirts. Finally thanks to our family and friends for all their hard work.

MarkStrat Competition Summer 2005: Strategize to the top!

The Student Marketing Assocation (SMA) is a collegiate chapter of the AMA, the world's largest society of marketing professionals. We helped the team by generating traffic with a prize for a $100 gift certificate towards sunglasses which was won by Angela Chim.
