The name "Eyes in Motion" has been carried over from the company's origins as
an optical store on wheels. The name was literally decided upon during the
15 minute drive to the BC registrar of companies. The three choices were:
Vision in Motion, Mobile Eyes and of course our first choice was Eyes in Motion.
Raj Mann started the business as a part-time project during a summer break
from her position as a contract faculty instructor at Douglas College's
Dispensing Opticianary Program. On a weekly basis Raj dispensed her
products from a vending table in the Academic Quadrangle at Simon Fraser University.
With a well priced collection of quality optical products and exceptional service, our relationship with the community at SFU was a great success. So when the opportunity for fixed retail space
at SFU became available, the decision was easy.
With a permanent location at SFU we have now expanded to include sight testing facilities, contact lens fitting, and one-hour lab. Our frame and sunglass collections have also increased by over 100% with each new piece being carefully chosen for the community at SFU.
Although we are no longer mobile and our product and service lines have expanded, we remain focused on continuing to offer well priced quality optical products and exceptional service.
Thank you SFU for your continued support.
